Friday Night Improv: Dollars to Donuts and Alf Pacino

Two Teams of Local Improvisers Bring You a Night of Comedy

Doors Open @ 7:30pm, Show Starts @ 8:00pm

Musicals in the suburbanite underworld, "Woodcutters Anonymous" or the dangers of booking inter-dimensional travel agents all come to life with Alf Pacino's joyfully bizarre knack for comedic world-building. Join us for a night of comedy beyond the fringe with Alf Pacino along with a special guest Dollars to Donuts!

Albany's DOLLARS TO DONUTS is best described as "an eclectic concentration of brilliance distilled from the veritable smorgasbord of delights known to the laity as the subconscious"... uh... They're a fun group of people that like to make stuff up!

ALF PACINO is a longform, experimental house team of The Mop and Bucket Company. Founded in 2014, they perform Armando-style freeform as well as original formats such as Alf's Blue Ribbon, Audio Pacino and I Don't Believe You. Alf Pacino brings their unique brand of ephemeral world-building and story telling to life on stage.

Whats longform improv anyway?

Shortform improv consists of short scenes usually constructed from a predetermined game, structure, or idea and driven by an audience suggestion. Longform improv performers create shows in which short scenes are often interrelated by story, characters, or themes.

FAQs

Will I get picked on by the comedians?

Absolutely not. Improv is about getting inspiration from the audience to help us invent scenes and songs on the spot. We celebrate your contribution to the show because you are part of it. Any volunteers we ask to join us onstage we GUARANTEE will be 110% cooler than they were when they were in their seat.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

There are no minimum age requirements for attendees. Typically shows are within a PG-13 rating. Our performances are improvised so the content is largely determined by the audience and the suggestions you give. We don't avoid "blue" humor but we try to be a little more creative with off-color suggestions than the obvious.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Street parking is available on Union and N Jay street by our Theatre. Parking is available in the lot behind Perecca's as well as other public lots within a short walk of the theatre. The lot directly across from us is reserved for the Rossi & Ditorro Funeral Home NOT AVAILABLE for parking. DO NOT park in the lot by JoJo’s Auto Service or you will be towed. Find our more and see a detailed map of parking options available around us here.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
