6-Week Spring Sessions

The Mopco Improv Theatre Youth Troupe gives students the opportunity to learn basic improv and performance skills in a fun, supportive environment. Students are guided by professional improvisers in developing their confidence, collaboration, communication, and creative thinking skills, culminating in a group performance for friends and family.


Ages 7-10

Wednesdays: 3:30PM - 5:30PM  |  April 18, 25, May 2, 9, 16  |  Performance Date: May 23

Ages 11-17 

Sundays: 1:00PM - 3:00PM April 18, 25, May 2, 9, 16  |  Performance Date: May 23

1 - Week Summer Programs

These week long summer intensives offer students a unique opportunity to learn improv and performance basics, brush up their skills, or go deeper into the craft with advanced sessions.


Improv Summer Program

Ages 7 - 10 and 11 - 17

Session 1: Monday July 9th - Friday July 13th | 9AM - 5PM

Session 2: Monday July 30th - Friday August 3rd | 9AM - 5PM

This week long program is designed for beginners and newbies to improv and performance. Students will learn the basics of improv and performance from professional improvisors in a safe and supportive environment. Students will engage in; improv activities, fun projects, and related workshops from set design, storytelling, stage lighting, musical improv and more! The program experience will end with a final performance for friends and family.

Advanced Improv Summer Program

Ages 13 - 17

Session 1: Monday July 9th - Friday July 13th | 9AM - 5PM

Session 2: Monday July 30th - Friday August 3rd | 9AM - 5PM

This week-long program is designed for experienced improvisors and performers looking to take their skills to the next level in class and on stage. Students will form a cohesive group and end the program opening for a Mop & Bucket Company mainstage show. Students must have completed a minimum of 2 regular 6-week youth toupe sessions at The Mopco, or have comparable theatre/performance experience; exceptions will be considered upon request.  Admission into the program at the discretion of the instructors/artistic director and is not guaranteed.
