Improv Class for Young People

Thanksgiving weekend, no class (November 29th)

Last class and showcase: December 20th 4:00 - 6:00 PM

Besides being fun, improv classes improve interpersonal skills, build confidence, encourage creative risk taking, and increase ability to surf uncertainty. This eight week introductory class for children 11-16 has  an emphasis on performance, and will culminate in a show for friends and family.

Instructor: ALEX SHAPIRO Hailing from Madison Wisconsin, Alex Shapiro performed with multiple improv companies including, The Premise, Atlas Improv, ComedySportz (Madison and New York) and Desperate Measures, which he co-founded at Wesleyan University in 1994.
A MopCo regular for the past two years, Alex has been involved with improv since taking classes when he was 13. Alex has years of experience teaching improv classes.

Tuition: Eight classes and showcase performance $295. a limited number of partial scholarships are available; inquire by emailing hey@mopco.org with the heading "Youth Scholarship."
