About Mopco Improv Theatre:

The Mopco Improv Theatre, founded in 1995 as The Mop & Bucket Company, is the Capital Region’s only dedicated improv theatre. Located in a lovingly-restored firehouse in Schenectady’s Stockade District, Mopco offers regular live performances, classes for all levels, and special events. Mopco’s improv comedy shows take place on Friday and Saturday nights at 8PM and discounted tickets are available for students, seniors, active military personnel, veterans, and first responders. The theatre is also available for select private events, parties, and performances. Mopco is also home to Koppett, a global consultancy renowned for its use of applied improvisation in business and organizational development. Helmed by CEO and pioneer Kat Koppett, in October 2025 the 3rd edition of her seminal book Training to Imagine will be released.
