Tell Your Story! 5 Week Storytelling Adventure

  • The Mopco Improv Theatre 10 North Jay Street Schenectady, New York, 12305 United States (map)

Five Sundays | 2-4 PM | September 20, 27, October 4, 11, and 18

Storytelling isn’t a talent. It’s a skill. And skills can be practiced.

You tell stories all day long — at work, at dinner, in the group chat, in the car. Some land. Some… wander. This class is about getting good at it: building the muscles that make people lean in, no matter what you’re telling or who you’re telling it to.

For four weeks we’ll play, practice, flop, laugh, and try again. You’ll build a toolkit you can use anywhere — on stage, in a meeting, at a wedding toast, at your next job interview. Then on week five, you get to take it all out for a spin in front of a live, invited audience.

Week 1 | September 20 | Find the material

Week 2 | September 27 | Craft the structure

Week 3 | October 4 | Bring it to life

Week 4 | October 11 | Share with presence

Week 5 | October 18 | SHOWTIME!

You’ll walk away with

Sharper instincts for what’s a story and what isn’t. Structures you can reuse forever. More presence, more range, and more nerve. A few solid stories in your back pocket — and the ability to build the next one on your own.

Who’s this for?

Everybody! First-timers, longtime improvisers, teachers, leaders, retirees, parents, writers who’ve never read a word out loud, and anyone who’s been meaning to try this for approximately forever.
